Quick Guide
Valencia is a fan’s circuit. Most of the track is visible from most places, the tarmac twisting through the peaks and troughs of a natural amphitheatre. It is, by it’s physical nature, a cauldron of excitement and this is only amplified by the position the track traditionally holds in the calendar: the final race.
Often this is not the championship decider, but it is always party central. To have the true Valencian experience, one must camp with the locals. Don’t bank on getting any sleep however; bikes without silencers are common. Engines without bikes, frames, silencers, wheels are also to be seen, or rather heard revving loud into the night, at the crack of dawn. Indeed, in the inverse to all other tracks, the only times in the weekend when the noise level drops is when the motorcycles are out on the course.
Circuit length: 4.005 km.
Circuit width: 12m.
Corners: 14, 5 right-handers and 9 left-handers.
MotoGP race distance: 30 laps.
