Quick Guide
Twin Ring Motegi can be characterised as a series of short drag strips between tight corners. The signature section of the track is the piece of tarmac from 130-R to the S-Curves, up to Hairpin Curve and down to 90 degree corner; a combination of fast sweepers, a hairpin and the longest straight leading to a right-angle right-hander. It’s another track like Indianapolis with a connected race oval, although unlike Indy, no part of the oval track is used.
Circuit length: 4.801 km.
Circuit width: 12-15m.
Corners: 14, 8 right-handers and 6 left-handers.
MotoGP race distance: 24 laps.
