Quick Guide
Estoril is a slow, tight and twisting track. Like Jerez it rewards agility and acceleration more than top speed, with the exception of Parabolica Ayrton Senna, the final corner on the track. The curve increases in radius as it progresses and catapults the riders onto a downhill start-finish straight which sees massive top speeds. At the opposite end of the track is Gancho, a tricky, uphill, first gear chicane, almost like a reverse Laguna Seca Corkscrew to provide Estoril with balance and a variety of challenges.
Circuit length: 4.182 km.
Circuit width: 14m.
Corners: 13, 9 right-handers and 4 left-handers.
MotoGP race distance: 28 laps.
