Quick Guide
Donington Park is a favourite among the riders - except when it rains (which is often). The challenge of the drop through Craner Curves combined with the speed and subsequent climb through the corners of Schwantz, McLeans and Coppice are balanced by the teeter-totter hairpin at Melbourne and the bumpy, awkward Goddards. Unlike many UK racing circuits which grew out of aerodromes, Donington was laid out in the grounds of Donington Hall, a country house. Originally designed for motorcycle racing, the track had the Melbourne Loop section tacked on to bring the lap up to a distance acceptable to Grand Prix.

Circuit length: 4.023 km.
Circuit width: 10m.
Corners: 11, 7 right-handers and 4 left-handers.
MotoGP race distance: 30 laps.
