Quick Guide
Brno, or to give it it’s proper title, Masaryk Circuit (see Wikipedia) is one of the ever-smaller club of old-fashioned European-style circuits in the mould of Assen of old, with sweeping turns and a wide strip of tarmac affording the riders a choice of many lines and opportunities to overtake. Built in a valley, the circuit has a number of undulations which present the bikes with some off-camber corners and short straights. Key to a successful performance is the agility of the bike and traction out of each and every one of the 15 turns.

Resurfaced for 2008, the quality of the tarmac is reported to be high, but tyre choices will be something of a lottery on the first outing here. Almost perfectly balanced in terms of corners, Brno is still a challenging ride and demands the riders manage tyre wear throughout the race.

Circuit length: 5.403 km.
Circuit width: 15m.
Corners: 15, 8 right-handers and 7 left-handers.
MotoGP race distance: 22 laps.
