Shanghai Circuit quick guide posted

April 25th, 2008
We now have a quick guide to Shanghai International Circuit. The usual Google map is present, but a little less useful than normal as it pre-dates 2004 and only shows the circuit in the fairly early stages of construction. Look carefully though, and you can see the track taking shape.

Twitter updates

April 17th, 2008
I’m trialling using Twitter to provide notification of updates to the blog, and maybe an opportunity for the occasional bit of chat. Track updates at twitter.com/motogpblog. Give me a shout if you’re about the Twittersphere.

New reference section launched: tracks

March 21st, 2008
A new reference section is today born. Tracks will build to be a quick reference guide to all of the active MotoGP circuits on the calendar. Designed to provide you with the detail you need, with links out to material of you need more, we hop you will find this useful. If there is any other data you think would be useful, let me know.

Technical reference - fuel maps

March 15th, 2008
There is a new addition to the technical reference: fuel maps, something I think we’ll be discussing more this season than ever before.

MotoGPBlog calendar

January 20th, 2008

I’m putting together a calendar of the MotoGP events for 2008 in a Google Calendar, which you can subscribe to from the link in the sidebar on the front page. It is currently a work in progress, but covers all the events up to China at the start of May, including the testing starting at the end of January. Where possible you’ll see a link to a Google Map of the circuit the event is happening at, currently only available for some of the Grands Prix.

You will need a Google account to access the calendar, but can sign up through the link.

Over time I’ll track other events in the calendar as well (125cc and 250cc being the first in the queue to be added).

MotoGPBlog stores now open

December 29th, 2007

The MotoGPBlog US and UK stores are now open for business, powered by Amazon.com and Amazon.co.uk. You will find links to them in the section list at the top of the page.

Feel free to have a browse through the products on offer, and make sure you check out the MotoGPBlog Top Picks category, where you’ll find stuff that has been tried and tested by MotoGPBlog. As always, feedback most welcome.

Cheers, Rob.

New site design

December 27th, 2007

It’s the same only different. I’ve tried to keep the simple, clean lines of the old layout while adding some different ways to navigate through the content, and making it more robust across browsers. I have added a reference section and I’ll add to the content here over time - to say this section was currently rather sparse would be understating the facts somewhat.

If you can spare a moment, feedback on the design would be much appreciated.

MotoGPBlog site updates

December 1st, 2007

Posting will slow on the site over the next month or so as we implement a more robust design and add some new features. I’m really pleased with the way the site has grown since it launched earlier this year, so thank you all for your support and comments. Comments are like oxygen to a blog - keep them coming!

Rob.
